Values Assessment

In his keynote address at the  Ministry of Education Work Plan Seminar, on Wednesday, 12 September 2012,  Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Education, focused on the development of  a student-centric, “values-driven education”.

All schools have their “values statements”.

We can provide schools with tailored programmes of training and/or consultancy to translate these value statements into valid and reliable assessment instruments.

Our training enables teachers to understand both the mechanics of values assessment and the methodology of developing of appropriate values assessment rubrics.

In consultancy, we work with schools to help them unpack the high-level statements into behavioral indicators to enable school-wide assessment of student values acquisition. For each behavioral indicator we assist the school to define the target performance level and appropriate development levels towards the target level so that appropriate assessment rubrics can be constructed.
